Esta es una película de culto, no se si catalogarla como película de amor, aunque Harry y Marion están profundamente enamorados el uno del otro.

Requiem, en música, se llama a la misa de los difuntos...recomiendo el Requiem de Mozart ....tal vez uno de los mas conocidos.

Esta peli es durísima, muestra una realidad de manera muy cruda.....después de verla, me quedó una sensación muy extraña.

La mamá de Harry, vive pegada a la TV, y un día piensa escuchar que la llaman para participar en un concurso de un programa que ella ve. Ahí es cuando comienza una dieta enfermiza.

Por otro lado está Harry y Marion, un relato sobre las adicciones.

Imágenes fuertes, no recomendado para gente impresionable....es decir, gente como yo jejej

Ayer vi One Day, perfilaba como una gran película de amor.....la verdad, no me gustó en lo mas mínimo. No quiero arruinarles la peli, contando lo que no me gustó.

Cuenta la historia de 2 amigos (deseando ser algo mas que amigos), con encuentros y desencuentros a lo largo de los 20 años después que se conocen un 15 de Julio de 1988 cuando se gradúan de la universidad.

Ambas vidas parecen miserables, perdidos y fuera del rumbo. Pero todo cobra sentido cuando están juntos.

Ok, eso me resultó bastante romántico....no se...que opinan?

Tal vez tendría que haber leído primero la novela del libro de David Nicholls.

Hola Chicas, ayer finalmente fui a ver Medianeras....antes de escribir mis comentarios, pongan play a este tema

Realmente esta peli merece un post bien largo y completo, ME ENCANTÓ!

Hay regalos para todos los sentidos, el oido, la combinación de estilos, entre la vecina de Mariana que toca música clásica en el piano...uno de mis temas favoritos en piano (me permito elegir la versión de las Variaciones Goldberg) y un final con un tema algo yanki pero super alegre....me recuerda a algunas comedias románticas onda Cuando Harry conoció a Sally.

Gustavo Taretto, tengo que decirlo, sos un genio! Felicitaciones por tu opera prima.

Lo único que no me gustó es la actuación de Inés Efrón...no se si me pasa que me quedo colgada con las actuaciones anteriores o si eso les pasa a ciertos actores, pero por mas que le hayan puesto una peluca con pelo largo, solo puedo pensar en su papel en XXY (donde tampoco me gustó su actuación) Esa mujer tiene cara de nada, cero misterio....pero bueno, creo que está de moda

Las actuaciones de Pilar Lopez de Ayala y la de Javier Drolas son increibles!

La semana pasada participamos en un concurso de la radio metro y ganamos!!!!!!!
Aqui el relato y fotos de los premios y el delicioso brunch que degustamos! Gracias al progama Brunch de Radio Metro!! :=)

Primero, fuimos a buscar a la radio un vino y un libro

Y ayer sábado 5 de noviembre, fuimos a Si mi reina

El lugar nos pareció increible, super bien ambientado, en el barrio de San Telmo, que tanto me gusta.

La música estaba a tono, Yolanda versión de Silvio Rodriguez y Pablo Milanés....mas tarde Vinicius de Moraes con Maria Creuza y Toquinho, que lindo disco!

La decoración nos llamo la atención, cada detalle tenido en cuenta, nos detuvimos en la combinación entre lo retro y moderno, la buena distribución de las mesas, que nos hizo sentir muy cómodos.

Cuando nos ofrecieron el menu brunch, no sabiamos que elegir....era TODO RICO!!!!!

De todo lo que pedimos, lo que mas nos gustó fue el Trifle de Yogurt, cereales y frutas frescas y una deliciosa limonada natural con mango.

Ahhh y como soy fanática de la ensalada ceasar, tuve que pedirla jeje, me encantó!!!

Gente, no dejen de ir, el lugar es super recomendable!!! y después de todo lo que habíamos comido, fuimos a pasear por la plaza de San Telmo :=)

Hace algunos años había visto esta peli y me habia parecido larga y aburrida...a veces me pasa con los libros que me compro, lo empiezo en determinado momento y no hay forma de terminarlo, tal vez intento en otro momento y me resulta increible!

Hace un mes que estoy tomando un curso de meditación en un Monasterio Budista....realmente recomiendo la experiencia, no importa que nunca hayan meditado, se abre un nuevo mundo, totalmente desconocido por mi al menos...las clases de yoga eran lo mas cercano que había estado del mundo de oriente jeje

A raiz de eso, decidí darle una nueva oportunidad a 7 años en el Tibet, y pese a las durísimas críticas que recibió Brad Pitt y la peli en general, debo decir que me encantó!!!!

No me estoy convirtiendo en una fanática de la meditación ni mucho menos, de hecho se me hace muy difícil poner en práctica por los tiempos que vivimos.

Para complementar con el curso estoy leyendo un poco de historia del budismo, aqui les dejo algunas imágenes

No será la clásica película de amor, pero tiene un leiv motiv que se repite en varias películas a lo largo de todos los tiempos.

La historia del debilucho, bueno, que de golpe por alguna razón cambia, se entrena, mejora....se me ocurren de este estilo pelis Dirty Dancing, clásico de los clásicos....donde la protagonista comienza a aprender a bailar de la mano, nada mas y nada menos que de Patrick Swayze. O pelis como Rocky, donde el protagonista entrena casi sin recursos para poder vencer la gran pelea.

O ver todo el camino que recorre Julia Roberts en el personaje que Eat Pray Love.

O una película que no me pareció fantástica pero si como sale adelante luego de una caída Catherine Zeta Jones en The Rebound.

O el papel de Renee Zelweger en New in town, una gerenta de Miami que la trasladan a un pueblo pequeño en Minnesota para salvar una fábrica.

Si bien el blog habla casi exclusivamente de peliculas de amor... últimamente, gracias a cuevana, estuve siguiendo algunas series.

"Buenas noticias para las fanáticas de Sex and the City. La popular serie podría regresar a la televisión luego de que Darren Star, el creador de la saga, y Sarah Jessica Parker se reunieran para ver qué camino seguir con la historia.

Según informó el sitio británico “Mail on Sunday”, Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Charlotte York y Miranda Hobbes podrían volver a la pantalla chica con Sarah Jessica Parker como productora.

Diversos medios internacionales revelaron que Star y las protagonistas quedaron preocupados por las malas críticas de la película Sex and the City 2. Por este motivo, las actrices volverían a reunirse en la televisión para protagonizar una serie que sería una precuela de los capítulos anteriores.

La nueva edición de la serie podría protagonizarse por actrices más jóvenes. Todavia no la vi, será buena?

Ayer puedo decir que perdí 2 horas viendo esta película. Tal vez la historia estaba buena, un soñador despreocupado quedó enamorado de una compañera de la escuela de cuando tenia 10 años. Sus padres mueren y el se inventa un mundo para no sufrir.

Hasta ahi, todo muy lindo...pero la película está llena de momentos sin sentido, escenas eternas con conversaciones vacias.

No se si el problema fue del director, pero el protagonista tiene una mueca que la repite hasta el cansancio. No la recomiendo ni para un día lluvioso sin nada para hacer.

Un mate y un amor...

El mate no es una bebida. Bueno, sí. Es un líquido y entra por la boca.

Pero no es una bebida. En este país nadie toma mate porque tenga sed.

Es más bien una costumbre, como rascarse.

El mate es exactamente lo contrario que la televisión: te hace conversar si

estás con alguien, y te hace pensar cuando estás solo.

Cuando llega alguien a tu casa la primera frase es 'hola' y la segunda:

'¿unos mates?'.

Esto pasa en todas las casas. En la de los ricos y en la de los pobres.

Pasa entre mujeres charlatanas y chismosas, y pasa entre hombres serios o

inmaduros.

Pasa entre los viejos de un geriátrico y entre los adolescentes mientras

estudian o se drogan.

Es lo único que comparten los padres y los hijos sin discutir ni echarse en

cara.

Peronistas y radicales ceban mate sin preguntar.

En verano y en invierno.

Es lo único en lo que nos parecemos las víctimas y los verdugos; los buenos

y los malos.

Cuando tenés un hijo, le empezás a dar mate cuando te pide. Se lo das

tibiecito, con mucha azúcar, y se sienten grandes. Sentís un orgullo enorme

cuando un esquenuncito de tu sangre empieza a chupar mate. Se te sale el

corazón del cuerpo.

Después ellos, con los años, elegirán si tomarlo amargo, dulce, muy

caliente, tereré, con cáscara de naranja, con yuyos, con un chorrito de

limón.

Cuando conocés a alguien por primera vez, te tomás unos mates. La gente

pregunta, cuando no hay confianza: '¿Dulce o amargo?'. El otro responde:

'Como tomes vos'.

Los teclados de Argentina tienen las letras llenas de yerba. La yerba es lo

único que hay siempre, en todas las casas. Siempre. Con inflación, con

hambre, con militares, con democracia, con cualquiera de nuestras pestes y

maldiciones eternas. Y si un día no hay yerba, un vecino tiene y te da.

La yerba no se le niega a nadie.

Éste es el único país del mundo en donde la decisión de dejar de ser un

chico y empezar a ser un hombre ocurre un día en particular.

Nada de pantalones largos, circuncisión, universidad o vivir lejos de los

padres.

Acá empezamos a ser grandes el día que tenemos la necesidad de tomar por

primera vez unos mates, solos.

No es casualidad. No es porque sí.

El día que un chico pone la pava al fuego y toma su primer mate sin que

haya nadie en casa, en ese minuto, es que ha descubierto que tiene alma.

El sencillo mate es nada más y nada menos que una demostración de

valores...

Es la solidaridad de bancar esos mates lavados porque la charla es buena.
Es querible la compañia

Es el respeto por los tiempos para hablar y escuchar, vos hablás mientras

el otro toma y es la sinceridad para decir: ¡Basta, cambiá la yerba!'.

Es el compañerismo hecho momento.

Es la sensibilidad al agua hirviendo.

Es el cariño para preguntar, estúpidamente, '¿está caliente, no?'.

Es la modestia de quien ceba el mejor mate.

Es la generosidad de dar hasta el final.

Es la hospitalidad de la invitación.

Es la justicia de uno por uno.

Es la obligación de decir 'gracias', al menos una vez al día.

Es la actitud ética, franca y leal de encontrarse sin mayores pretensiones

que compartir.

Esta no es una película romántica, sino mas bien, un suspenso psicológico. Me pareció interesante postearla ya que es una de las preferidas dentro de las nominaciones al Oscar como mejor película.

Cuenta la historia de una compañía de ballet en Nueva York que se prepara para actuar el Lago de los Cisnes.

La actuación de la primera bailarina exige que pueda ser tanto el cisne blanco como el negro. Pero el director de la compañía decide darle el papel del cisne blanco a Nina (Natalie Portman) y el cisne negro a Lily (Mila Kunis).

Nina comenzará a encontrar algo muy oscuro y temeroso en la personalidad de Lily.

Hace tiempo que no veo una película tan mala, no se que opinará el resto de la audiencia pero en mi opinión es aburrida, carece de guión, lleno de golpes bajos y con muchos recursos previsibles.

La historia está basada en una pareja que vive en manhattan que se dedican a comprar muebles antiguos a hijos cuyos padres acaban de fallecer. Lo comprar a precio regalado y lo venden como piezas únicas y antiguas a precios carísimos.

A su vez, se mezcla en la historia una vecina que tiene 2 nietas con problemas para relacionarse...entre otros.

Una película romántica con todos los condimentos para lograrlo. El primer condimento es que está situada en New York, amo las pelis que tienen de backround esa ciudad!

El segundo condimento para una peli romántica y divertida es la buena química entre los protagonistas. Aqui Jennifer Aniston y Jason Bateman lo logran a la perfección.

Y el tercer condimento para darle un toque de comedia son los amigos de ambos protagonistas, actuados por Juliette Lewis y Jeff Goldblum.

De Jeff Goldblum no recuerdo un papel que lo haya marcado tanto como el de Jurassic Park. Y Juliette Lewis, vuelve a la pantalla grande con un personaje que parece salido de los años 70.

Que se puede decir de los protagonistas Jennifer Aniston y Jason Bateman??? Unos genios! Se lleva el premio de la mejor escena cuando Jason Bateman, bajo los efectos del alcohol se pone a jugar con una muestra de semen en el baño....imperdibles sus expresiones!

26. Take control: In one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books there is a place called the waiting place. It’s the place we get stuck waiting for our ship to come in, the door of opportunity to open, just waiting for life. It’s not a good place. Instead take control. You are the person who make things happen. Do you have a dream? A goal perhaps? What are you waiting for? Take control.

27. Realize you can’t control others: So many times I wish I could make decisions for others. I would get mad when they didn’t do what I wanted or disagreed. The thing is there is nothing that I could do to make them do what I want. Sure, you can influence someone, but in the end you don’t have control over the actions of others. You aren’t responsible for their actions or their decisions.

28. Revive your childhood dreams: We all had dreams as a child. I wanted to an astronaut more than anything. Although this is not in the cards for me any more there is no reason why I can’t go for that dream. Over the years I have visited the Kennedy Space Center, waited to watch shuttles take off, took astronomy classes, learned to moon walk. Now I’m trying to arrange a trip to Space Camp. It may not be the same as becoming an astronaut, but why give up my childhood dreams when a bit of creative thinking can make them come true?

29. Count your blessings every day: Creating a positive mind-set can be hard. Counting your blessing every day is away of training ourselves to see the happy things around us each day. Even if it as small as finding a good parking space include that in our blessings. Soon you wont have to work so hard in finding the good.

30. Forgive: At some point we have all been hurt by someone. Holding onto those feeling of hate, anger, and resentment keep a deadly cycle of unhappiness going. If you don’t practice forgiveness you can’t find happiness.

31. Silence: Give yourself the space to think, listen to your thoughts, create time for you. It can be discomforting at frist, but it is a way to refresh, distress, and gather yourself.

32. Embrace failure: Being afraid of failure is common. If you don’t take risk how can you ever move forward? By failing we can learn from our mistakes. Failure is the only way to move forward.

33. Give yourself credit: Don’t count your achievements short. Take a moment and reflect on all the things that you have done and not just on the things that you haven’t accomplished yet.

34. Listen: Really listen. Shut your laptop. Stop checking your phone and really listen to what someone is saying.

35. Find someone who will listen to you: It’s nice to have someone who you can talk to. Someone who you can tell everything. Someone who will really listen. We all need someone like that.

36. Set your plans in action: Having a list of goals, hopes and dreams is wonderful, but not so much if you don’t do anything about it. Start small. Start shooting for some of the smaller ones. Or break down the bigger goals so that they are in smaller, more achievable steps.

37. Change how you eat: I don’t think that this really needs to be explained, but a healthy body means a happier body. It’s not just about weight loss but getting the nutrients that your body needs.

38. Adopt a rescue: Pets just know how to put a smile on your face. Both of my cats are rescues. We have an unbelievable bond. Much stronger than I’ve had in the past with other pets. Pets from the shelter aren’t broken. They aren’t vicious. They are healthy and you will be saving a life. Plus it has been shown that there are mental, physical, and emotional benefits of having a pet. A win win!

39. Take control of your finances: Create a budget, start a savings account, restructure your spending there are a million ways to save money or cut costs. Getting control of your finances is a great way to change your life for the positive. Find a way that works for you. Maybe install Quicken on your computer, sign up for an account at mint.com or just use a pen and paper, but knowing where your money is going is the best way to control it.

40. Smile: Really, it’s a great cure for stress and feeling down in the dumps.

41. Education: Knowlegdge is power! Now that I sound like a bad after school special I would like to quote a song I sang in middle school “the more you learn the further you will go. When you get an education you are taking a stand. Knowledge is power. Get it while you can!” Corny? Yes, but it makes a good point.

42. Go green: Going 100% might be a bit impractical, but there are ways to reduce your carbon footprint. Trying buying local or organic foods, switch your chemicals to more eco-friendly brands, walk, turn off lights, wash clothing in cold water, or plant a garden. Not only is it good of the planet, but is healthier for us in the long run. Who couldn’t use to walk a bit more or eat healthier?

43. Don’t be part of the cycle of hate: My favorite saying is an eye for an eye makes the whole World blind. Hating someone because of who they are is ignorance. If you don’t understand just ask. Try to understand. Hate for hates sake is pointless. If someone did something to you, your family, or someone you care about learn to forgive. It is the best thing you can do for you. Don’t keep the cycle of hate going.

44. Figure out what your stress triggers are: When you know what triggers high levels of stress for you it is easier to avoid it or prepare yourself in advance for stressful situations.

45. Find an outlet: This can help in so many areas. If you are feeling angry, stressed, depressed, restless or just in a funk the best way to deal with it is to find an outlet to channel you emotions. Try dancing, exercise, writing, acting, meditation. What it is make sure that whenever you make time each week where you can get away and focus on whatever your outlet is. When you start to feel your mood slip try to find time to spend on your outlet activity.

46. Be calm: Take a few minutes and turn off the TV, the radio, and find a quiet spot. Relax, reflect, be calm. Being calm allows for mental clarity.

47. Give time to a cause: Work at a shelter, help a clean up team pick up trash, collect signatures for legislation that you support. Doesn’t matter what you do just find something that means something to you and makes you happy. Plus you are supporting your community at the same time.

48. Eliminate the unnecessary: Is your life cluttered with stuff? Do you have junk all over? Clothing you haven’t worn for years? How about that random Christmas gift that Aunt Bonnie gave you last year and you could never figure out what it was? Get rid of it. Sell it on ebay, take it to a consignment shop, or donate to Goodwill. Declutter your life.

49. Create a 5 year plan: Knowing what you want in life is good, but having a road map on how to get there is better. Sit down, do some research and plan, plan, plan.

50. Let loose: Do something that sunrises you.

2. Choose to see the good: We are surrounded by the bad everyday. Turn on the news and hear the latest horror story. Driving in the car the radio is having a debate about everything in politics. It’s endless and seeing the bad in people is easy. Instead look for the good. Believe in the compassion in man kind. Watch for the strangers holding open door. People who smile at you for no reason. The random compliments for passersby. Than start looking at those who are volunteering to pick up trash, work at soup kitchens, or even to walk for a cure. When you see the good in the world it is easier to find happiness. Trust me, the good is out there. It just doesn’t make the evening news.

3. Find a mentor: What are you trying to achieve in life? Maybe it is something at work, at home, or in your personal life. Find someone who can show you how to accomplish whatever it is that you want to do. What them. Ask questions. Grow and learn.

4. Stop taking things for granted: It’s usually the things and people are in our everyday life that this happens with. It becomes a norm. It is only when that person or thing are gone do we realize how much it meant to us. Stop taking things for granted and see how it enriches your life.

5. Love what is in the mirror: This is the hardest thing anyone can do, but when we can look in the mirror and honestly be comfortable with ourselves. Remember you are a beautiful person no matter how many pounds you want to lose, or if your nose was a bit straighter, or if our lips were bigger. Tell yourself that every day. One day you may finally believe it.

6. Surround yourself with positive: Positive people, positive thoughts, positive affirmations have powerful effect on our feeling. Turn off the negative thoughts. Put distance between you and the negative people.

7. Be the change: In South Africa I met a woman in a township who opened a B&B. She told me that when Aparthide ended things were a mess. The government was working to right the wrongs of the past, but action was slow. There was a lot to straighten out and it may be many more years before she got help. So instead she decided to be the change. She took control of her destiny and opened a B&B. In the end it created a flow of revenue for her, her community, and helped shine a light on what was happening in the Townships to the world. We can all wait for someone else to solve our problems or right the wrongs, but sometimes we need to take control and be the change that we are looking for.

8. Take naps: There is a point each day when my daughter gets cranky. She whimpers, cries, and doesn’t want any of her toys. It’s nap time for her. When she wakes up there is a smile on her face and she is ready to take on the world. Maybe you need a nap too.

9. Step outside your box: There is something to said about being in a comfort zone. Humans are creatures of habit. We like to have a certain level of control. Try stepping out of that box. Broaden your horizon. Explore some place new. Try a new hobby. Try something new. Do something that scares you.

10. Accept who you are: This one is difficult, but you can’t truly be happy until you are happy with who you are.

11. Love: It makes the world go round. Besides it is a lot easier to love than hate. It’s hard remember everyone you hate and why.

12.Treat yourself: You work hard. The best way to derail stress is to remember to treat yourself. Do something nice for because you deserve it.

13. Don’t make mountains out of mole hills: Raise your hand if you are guilty of this. I sure am. There use to be nothing I liked to do more than to make a small thing snowball into a much bigger issue. It didn’t matter what it was a problem, a comment, or even nothing at all. Yes, I was addicted to drama. It was exhausting.

The best way I got rid of it was to leave it out of my life. I put distance between myself and those who liked to create it. I decided to stop being defensive when someone offered a solution to a problem I had. I looked for answers and tried them instead of looking for road blocks. Did I miss the drama? Sure, but there is a great solution for it: reality TV. As far as I’m concerned let the stars of VH1 reality shows have all the drama. I will just watch thank you.

14. Get to know your neighbors: It’s a great way to build community and meet some awesome people. Plus it is an extra set of eyes watching out for you and your house and an extra set of hands to feed your cat when you are away.

15. Work on the qualities you want: I’m not a natural with conversations. I’m shy, I’m awkward, and never know what to say. R and Bug are a freaking social butterflies. They could start a conversation with a tree. Well, Bug has at least… This is a quality I want. So, I watch, learn and try to mimic. If you see someone who has a quality that you are missing talk to them about it. Watch them and learn.

16. Face your fears: Fears are those little voices in your head. It those “what ifs” and “but how would I?” Stop it right now. Start small and work your way up. I’m not saying that if you are afraid of heights and planes to go through yourself out of one. Maybe start by looking out the window of a tall building. But whatever you face those fears. Once you over come them it is a great sence of accomplishment and sense of having control.

17. Say thank you: Do you hear this enough? I sure don’t! I can never hear it enough. Remember that. Tell the people around you thank you. It feels great to say and hear. Maybe you will start a trend.

18. Know when to step back: This is hard. In some situations there comes a time when we have to step back. We can’t control the situation. It may be just out of our hands or a situation where it is no longer healthy to be part of. It shouldn’t be seen as giving up or loosing control. It’s saying enough is enough. There is nothing that you can do to change the situation. The best thing is now to step back.

19. Trust yourself: We hear the naysayer everyday, but how right are they? Your ideas, your thought, your opinions are not worth less than theirs. Trust your gut. Act on your intuition. If something doesn’t feel right act on it. If you have a great idea at work speak up. What’s the worst that could happen? If you are wrong you are wrong but what it you aren’t?

20. Stop listening to people who put you down: They aren’t worth it. They aren’t your friends. They don’t care about you. They aren’t worth your time. Just step back from the situation for a moment and look at them. Really look. Why are they are putting you down? Most likely they are trying to build themselves up. Misery loves company. Pity them, but for goodness sake don’t listen to them.

21. Drop the bad habits: Mine is sugar. R’s is smoking. Both habits which we would be better off cutting back on or eliminating. What about you?

22. Find something that gives your life meaning: We all need something that gives us a reason for getting up in the morning. Maybe your children, your work, maybe you are working for a cause, or are traveling. What ever it is figure out what defines you and figure out how to get it.

23. Exercise: Love your body. Not only will your body be happy but exercising can fight off the onset of certain illnesses, helps you focus, get balanced, feel happier, relieve stress. Really not seeing a downside here.

24. Laugh more: Mainly because it is just a fun thing to do.

25. Learn a new skill: Is their something that you always wanted to learn? Maybe a new language, how to knit, how to take photos together, hike more… Get out there and do it. Sign up for a night class or find a group get out there and do it!
